Surgery for Colles Wrist Fracture

Work-related wrist injury. Many of these repair broken bones were performed with an external fixation procedure. Now, with latest techniques in wrist surgery by Dr. Alejandro Badia to restore and hold their alignment, procedure is safer, although incision may be bigger, and healing is faster.

Work Related Injury occurred a week and a half before the surgery (because of insurance approval delay in workers comp case). Thus, some additional steps needed to be taken during the procedure #askdrbadia. Patient was seen at OrthoNOW, and then surgery performed by Dr. Badia and BHS Surgical Team at The Surgical Center at Doral.
