Tennis star Sania M. will be out of action for a minimum of four weeks after she undergoes a surgery on her troublesome right wrist in Miami, according to her father Imran Mirza. In a statement released here on Thursday, Imran said that Sania arrived in the United States two days ago along with her mother and physiotherapist Renuko Pinto. It may be recalled that Sania had to contend with a chronic wrist inflammation for over 18 months. A Globosport press release said, “A recent MRI showed contusion of her lunate bone with some inflammation and a suspected tear in the volar capsule. She is undergoing arthroscopy to repair the capsule and to clean out debris formed from chronic inflammation.” Renowned specialist Dr. Bradia will perform the surgery.
